Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist mission is to drive the critical decisions necessary to bring the system live on time. Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist also assist regular Project Manager to creates the system requirements specification which is used to drive the development and implementation process. Finally, Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist will assist in facilitating the day-to-day coordination required to deliver the system in a manner consistent with organizational standards. Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist has a key communication and coordination role, they draft and maintain the requirements specification. Along with Development, Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist will assist regular Project Manager to ensure that the system requirements specification can be implemented technically with available resources.

Responsible for serving internal and external Clients by providing product and service information; diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and database problems. Additionally, Client Services Specialist will be responsible for Administrative Duties that include shipping training materials, data entry, filing, and other supporting duties

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist main project manager in maintaining external technical coordination and communication. This is a key factor that enables the development group to work efficiently without unnecessary disruptions. It also enables the project team to identify and reuse the work of others.
  • Assist main project manager in exercising change control over the system requirements specification once a selected set of functions is completed for a specific release.
  • Assist in collating the project schedule from each team role, and managing the master schedule (each team member is accountable for scheduling their own responsibilities within the overall project schedule).
  • Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist role on the Team of Peers
    • Assist in writing the functional specifications with input from other team leaders.
    • Assist in definition how the product will interoperate with external software systems and components.
    • Assist in conducting technical reviews of product specification.
    • Assist in implement change control over the system requirements specification document.
    • Assist in coordination of team reviews after each project milestone; adjust schedule and features, if necessary.
    • Assist in tracking project progress and manage schedule.
    • Deliver a quality product.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Liberal Arts degree or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Project Management service ideal but not required. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs with Windows operation and MS Office Suite a must. 5+ years use of the Internet required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist need strong technical skills to work with Development on critical decisions. They need to understand architectural implications of the project. Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist must have the discipline to track project progress. Additionally, Assistant Project Manager/Customer Service Specialist need strong communication and presentation skills in order to be effective facilitators and negotiators. Medical terminology a plus.

ENVIRONMENT:

Constant computer, administrative and telephone work. Occasional travel required.
